SPORT PLATFORM

Performance in layers

Sport is no longer defined by a single activity, environment or moment. The boundaries between training, travel, recovery and everyday life are increasingly fluid, shaping a new generation of performance apparel designed to move continuously with the wearer.

At the centre of this evolution is a more intelligent approach to layering. Rather than treating garments as isolated pieces, the sportswear system becomes a responsive relationship between body, clothing and environment, managing shifting levels of movement, temperature and intensity while maintaining comfort and freedom.

Merino wool plays a natural role within this evolving landscape. Its breathability, thermoregulation, moisture management and comfort provide a versatile foundation for engineered performance, while new yarns, constructions and hybrid technologies expand its possibilities.

Unfold the Sport Platform through two connected material chapters: BASE-LAYER, where performance begins closest to the body, and BETWEEN, the adaptive space where body and environment continuously interact. Together, they explore how wool can contribute to lighter, more responsive and more versatile approaches to sportswear.

BBASE - LAYER / The intelligence closest to the body

The base layer is the first point of contact between the wearer and the clothing system, establishing the micro-climate where comfort and performance originate. It must respond to changing levels of activity, providing breathability and effective moisture and temperature management, while supporting unrestricted movement.

BBETWEEN / The adaptive space between body and environment

The space between body and world is no longer simply a place for insulation. BETWEEN explores the mid layer as an adaptive interface, one that continuously responds to changes in temperature, movement, intensity and environment. Rather than adding weight or bulk, it manages the transitions between different conditions, maintaining comfort while allowing the wearer to move freely.
